This was my official Artwork Debut in November 2010. It all began from an intuitive painting class that a friend teaches in Australia which my husband and I attended earlier that same year. The name SKY is comprised of my initials using my maiden name, which I use as my "artist" name.
Having an eye and appreciation for beauty, I have always loved the arts as far back as I can remember and even wanted to be an artist as a little girl. However old paradigms kept me from pursuing one of my greatest loves. Then a few decades later came Australia, and the painting class that evoked the dormant artist within yearning to be expressed.
Months later, paintings were piling up so I decided to participate in a few craft shows at work and another elsewhere. The feedback and the sales were so amazing and inspiring for me, far beyond my expectations. It was then I knew that I needed to be true to myself and follow my heart. And I must say, It's such a wonderful place to be doing what you love, whatever it may be. Creating is so empowering and freeing. Listening to that still quiet voice within; the voice of intuition, the road map to bliss, will never lead you astray.
Always drawn to the unusual and unique things in life, I find abstract art and mixed media to be my niche in the painting realm. It's a perfect form of self expression for me. The medium I currently use is acrylic paint with a variety of textures which can be seen best in person. I am also a Reiki Master and infuse each of my paintings with the Reiki energy which brings a great sense of peace and tranquility to each piece.
In addition, I offer personalized commissioned paintings for a small percentage more should you wish to have a particular size painting and/or specific colors to compliment your decor.
